The Reformer is the most popular piece of equipment and one of Joseph Pilates’ original inventions. He believed beginning exercise in the horizontal plane was important to relieve the stress and strain on the joints, and to align the body before adding additional gravitational forces through the central axis while standing, sitting or kneeling

Level 1
This total body workout is ideal for those new to the reformer. You'll learn how to use this unique and fantastic machine while working your way through a different sequence of resistance based exercises; every session will be different. Focus will be placed on key Pilates principles such as core control, stabilization, fluidity of movement and will provide an entire body workout each class. Sweating a possibility.
Prerequisite: If never been on a reformer, for your safety at least one consultation minimum is required.

Level 2
Building on everything you learned in Level 1, we will be taking it up a notch. Those with wrist/ankle, chronic back issues: be aware that this level will have balancing movements where you support your own body weight with your arms/hands, and some inverted positions. Regardless if you have been taking Pilates for a long time, if you are new to Pengu then please take at least one Level 1 class before attending Level 2, as the teachers do get you moving at a faster pace than other studios, so understanding of vocabulary and basic choreography is necessary. Also a great cross training class for runners, pro athletes, and those playing golf, tennis and hockey. Be prepared to sweat, and feel relaxed, stretched, taller, and stronger afterwards.

Level 3
More of MORE. This energetic class will leave you invigorated. Integrated movements will flow from one exercise to the next, giving you a challenging workout. Experience the strength of your core and be prepared to break a sweat. You must have teacher permission to attend, as you will be required to know how to call upon all your concentration, knowledge of your own strengths/weaknesses, braving inverted moves, and how to align yourself when cued.
Prerequisite: For your safety, you must have attended at least one Level 2 class and have the teacher’s permission.
